Well I am at my parents mooching off of their internet! Dang I am a good internet moocher!! LOL
I am doing great! Tomorrow I am headed to Fort Worth to spend the day and night! I can't wait! I am really starting to enjoy the big city life! I went up there last weekend and had a blast! An absolute blast! I went to a bar called "Hole in the Wall" where they offer "burgers and blues" Oh it was wonderful! All different types of people from all different walks of life. I saw my friend play. Amazing what that man can do with his fingers! He plays bass guitar! I had forgotten how much I enjoy blues music! I had such a fantastic time.
The children got report cards yesterday. Lyns made her first B. She was NOT a happy camper. She was the only six-grader to make all A's last semester. Drake was also A's and B's and J and Alex were A's, B's and one C. But hey...J's reading grade went from a 62 to an 85. And Alex is has finally figured out he has to pass Language Arts. I have really enjoyed seeing how well they have taken off in school.
I had a day last week where I sat down and cried over my past life. I missed the house cleaning and schooling the children and baking etc.... But I did not miss my marriage or the woman I used to be. So I put on my big girl panties and went to work.
I have met a really neat man...the bass player! *wink* and am enjoying getting to know him. I so enjoy this dating thing. He has met Lyns but not the boys. I am not in any hurry for him to meet them. He can actually get me to laugh out loud which is a rare treat for me. He treats me like a queen. I think I will keep him for at least a day or two! *wink* It is wonderful to have intellegent conversations, discuss books etc... I am really enjoying the time I have had with him.
Well I have a sudden urge to go book shopping. I guess I need to make some phone calls. There is a book I want to share with Mr. Bass player!
